Speaking & Reading Engagements
Over the years, I have spoken to all sorts of groups, both large and small, to
talk about my books and the subjects they involve. Sometimes, I include a
reading from my work but without exception, I always have a conversation
with those in attendance. The types of audiences have varied from Rotary
clubs to religious institutions, senior citizen centers to high school classes,
political and charitable organizations to book clubs, and so on. But whatever
the venue, I almost always felt both the audience and I benefited from the
experience and enjoyed ourselves. Which is why I’m readily available for
speaking engagements and readings.
I also very much enjoy teaching and have been doing so for many years at
writers’ conferences and workshops, adult education venues, and colleges
and universities. Whether it’s one evening at a book club or writer’s group, leading a workshop, or
a more formal setting, I’m happy to participate.
As for my compensation, depending upon the circumstances, I may not require a fee so long as
there is an opportunity to sell my books. When I do charge a fee, it is relatively modest.
